You know what a birthday is. You may even have celebrated an Unbirthday or two. But, have you experienced a Mirthday yet? Madison elucidates:
I do believe I feel a Mirthday coming on--
a day filled with feasting, laughter, good friends and song;
a day full of whistling all of one’s fav’rite tunes,
skipping down the sidewalk and carrying balloons;
a day of wearing fancy hats and bright colors,
so many as to make a peacock look duller
than a cowbird! And, speaking of our feathered friends,
today’s a day to watch them as they wind and wend
their way through the sunny skies or, if it’s raining,
perhaps a good movie will prove entertaining.
With a warm mug of cocoa or a cup of tea--
whichever is your pleasure--let your pleasure be
your guide as your Mirthday rolls merrily along,
and may it transport you to where you’ve not yet gone!
