Sometimes one needs to be serious. Or does one?
Enough of being whimsical! Time to get serious!
Oops! I had meant to say “slightly delirious!”
Time to let go, start making nonsense of it all.
Time to let the words jimble, jamble, jumble, fall
apart or together, down a hole, at my feet,
to dangle a participle, grow indiscreet,
and to let a mounting sense of indiscretion
become an almost paranormal obsession!
Only in this way can we ever hope to find
the traces and remnants of what is called “the mind.”
If such inklings may be uncovered, then it’s sure
to be a wee small matter of brewing a cure
for your ills, which may yet prove deleterious
to claims that life is to be taken serious.
