Soothe Time’s ego, that’s the way! Wax more sublime.
Then you’ll find, like as not, Time will do your bidding.
I’ve found it myself. No really, I’m not kidding.
Time and I, you see, weren’t always best of friends.
We’re still not, but I have tried to make amends
which is not to say that Time will always do
exactly what I want or hope or need Time to.
Time is a paradox, no quacking required.
He stands still and slips away when one is tired.
Time is universal, yet quite particular,
and, while traveling, frequently vehicular.
Thus, consid’ring how all things must end in due Time,
it seems to me Time’s come to end my little rhyme.
